ZX3tuning was born in the first few months of 2001, however it was already bringing in European parts for the Focus well before that. The guys at Momentum Motorparts (then Momentum Motorsports), a hugely successful shop at the heart of the VW tuning scene famous for wild motor swaps and hardcore Euro VW’s and Audi’s, saw the Focus Market as another popular group to bring European parts to. Little did they know that the Euro look would become the most sought after and admired look in the Focus community today. Over the years Momentum changed in the VW community, going from Motorsports to Motorparts with the split of ownership, all the while ZX3tuning continued on setting the trend in European Foci in North America. Over the years ZX3tuning became very well known for great customer service, fast shipping and of course the V6 SVT Contour powered yellow Euro ZX3 featured in numerous magazines.

Fast forward to the summer of 2004.

Shawn Lang, Owner of Momentum Motorparts and ZX3tuning, saw the VW side of the business exploding and couldn't keep up with both companies. Mitch Anderson, newly established Focus-Central Canadian Distributor and owner of Clubfocus.net and the first Focus customer of Momentum/ZX3tuning was getting started with establishing a new company at the same time. Shawn decided to contact Mitch about purchasing ZX3tuning as Shawn knew the ideals and service of the company would be left in good hands.

After a few weeks, the deal was done and ZX3tuning was under new ownership. Not wasting any time, Mitch went around re-affirming old accounts of ZX3tuning and building new ones. ZX3tuning is now the single largest supplier of Ford Focus performance parts in Canada with one of the most extensive product lists in the Focus Community. ZX3tuning is committed to customer service first and foremost as well as offering the best parts at the best possible prices to the Focus Community. However, because we are located in Canada, it still may be cheaper for our US customers to purchase items such as rims, tires and Sparco Products from US Sources.
